About Us

Being cooped up in the COVID they got together in separate attic and basement spaces across town. 

They got creative and a little bit crazy.

Ellen was longing for the ocean and dreamed of shells. With her iPad in hand, on sleepless nights, she bought magnificent shells. Then came the glue gun and the paint brush and she transformed the shells into the most intricate delicate works of art.

Lauren, across town, had no tolerance for such intricate detailed work. She found her escape with Modge Podge, a favorite go-to of her mother. She also got busy on her tablet in the middle of the night and within days incredible handmade papers arrived from all over the world. She was consumed in the basement with decoupage.
 

Back together again.

Ellen and Lauren present Paper Circus Design, a reflection of their collaborative COVID efforts and talents. 

There is nothing like bringing family and friends back together again…especially when set with an extraordinary one-of-a-kind table setting created with love, talent, and a lot of late-night FaceTime laughter.

Ellen and Lauren met in pre-school carpool line 30 years ago. Throughout the years their families have gathered together around so many beautiful tables. They have collaborated and curated incredible spaces, sharing their love of cooking, creating, and the art of entertaining. 

“If the food flops, the table will take your breath away!” is their shared philosophy, thinking of the gorgeous tables they have set with a mix of collected old and new stuff.  With that in mind, they have taken their “empty nester” talents and creative spirit to bring you beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces, so you too can...
